WebHeat Capacity of Gaseous Carbon Dioxide Joseph F. Masi and Benjamin Petkof The heat capacity (Cp) of gaseous carbon dioxide has been measured at —30°, 0°, +50°, and +90° C and at 0.5-, 1.0-, and 1.5-atmosphere pressure, with an accuracy of 0.1 percent. The flow calorimeter used was a modification of the one previously described by Scott and Webproperties including density, heat capacity, and speed of sound , viscosity, thermal con-ductivity, and static dielectric constant of liquid water as a function of temperature at a pressure of 0.1 MPa. The calculations may be simply extended to a pressure range from the saturation pressure to 0.3 MPa.
