WebDec 5, 2009 · There is a difference in the dimensions of the 5.56 and .223 brass, 5.56 loads will be "hotter" so go with .223 load data and shoot them all you want through your 5.56. WebAsking because lee #2 shell holder kinda sucks. I’ve narrowed a similar primer seating issue with 556 down to the shell holder. Swaging helps, but the key was to use lee universal decapper to align the flash hole with the primer ram, then seat the primer.
